CLEANING UP THE SEWING ROOM

Today I just had to clean up the sewing room.  I really do not need to buy any fabrics for a good long time.  I am so lucky to have such a huge room to sew in, however I seem to be running out of room.

I will be leaving to go to Lake Forest, Illinois to visit Rachel, Chris and Felicity.  Rachel is due to have our second grand daughter in February and I'm going to help her get organized for the arrival of our new little one.  All the baby clothes are stored high up on the third floor of their old house and I will be be dragging everything down to be washed and re organized and ready the room for the new baby.  Felicity is also in for some big changes.  Her new bedroom furniture arrives next Wednesday and Rachel and I are excited to see it all set up and hopefully to see Felicity enjoy it too.
I have to get everything ready here before I head out on Saturday morning.  Hopefully the weather will co-operate.

Today I made a wristlet - not sure if should make any more of these, I'll just wait to see if there is any interest on Britgaldesigns@etsy.com

FABRICS FROM JAPAN

Recently my daughters and I took a trip to Japan.  Here are some of the fabrics I brought back.

WHERE THE REAL WORK IS DONE

The real work is done in the sewing room.  When it's cleaned up it looks like this.

Hired Help?

While I'm busy in the sewing room I do have some help.  Penny for instance helps with folding laundry, it's pretty tiring work so afterwards a nap is usually in order.
Penny is our advertising specialist and Fritzie is in charge of security.  Trust me, no one can get by her.   Fritzie is on the left sitting on the chair with Penny.
